Minerals, Rocks & Fossils Workshop-‘Identifying Specimens’

10:00 – 11:00 Introductionary presentations on the petrology and classifications of each of the major groups
11:30 – 15:00 rotating sessions of practical hands on specimen inspection and identification. There will be 5 tables each exhibiting one of the following; Fossils, Minerals, Igneous rocks, Sedimentary rocks or Metamorphic rocks. The WGCG specimen collection will be used for the purpose of this workshop. Participants are also invited to bring along one or two of their own specimens for discussion.
